July Update for CaseVue HPE

Taylor Phillips

Over the past month, we have been working hard to improve your overall CaseVue experience.

That means addressing site load times, giving you access to view your data, as well constantly adjusting our outputs to satisfy the request from states.

New:

  • Reporting- CaseVue now provides users with access to reports to view what is happening on the account. The higher your permission is set, the more information you can analyze.

  • Fine Tuned Tax Screen- You now have the ability to make those little tweaks to a patient's tax situation and improve your capacity to make an accurate decision.

Updated:

  • IMPORTANT!  The state of Mississippi DOM requires that the date that is printed on the HPE Application form be the date that the decision was made. That means that the date you choose to approve or deny the patient is the date that is printed on the form. We understand that this is a concern of many, but it is imperative that you make a determination ASAP in or to cover the patient.

  • To that end, we have opened the user roles to allow all CERTIFIED users to make a case decision. (NOTE: some states require training and/or a test to become certified. Contact your state Medicaid office or contact us at hpehelp@casevue.com and we will help get to the bottom of any question you may have. )

  • AutoComplete had been disabled to not display old cases in your dropdown as an effort to increase patient data protection even further.

  • Server Upgraded- we have made several substantial changes to the way we deliver CaseVue to your browser. That means increased site speed across the board, access to even more security features, and the ability to analyze site errors(including downtime) often before you have time to report it to us.

BugFixes:

  • Fixed the occurrence of an unborn child not counting correctly.

  • Fixed a very particular instance in which MS parent/caretaker category was being too tough to qualify.

  • Income rounding in MS follows the DOM request for rounding to the hundredths not thousandths (for example, it was 4.333, now it is 4.33). All states now follow their states recommended rounding rate.

  • Text changes to the My Cases page, the scoring screen, and several emails.

As always if you ever need help or have a question, we are here for you! Send us an email to hpehelp@casevue.com

AutoGov.com Has An Updated Look!

Taylor Phillips

Clean, flat, responsive.... Welcome to the new AutoGov.com

Over the summer we here at AutoGov decided to give our company site and our collective assets a complete update. Over the years our site has been a collection of graphics and styles to fit our needs, and as we move forward, I wanted to bring it all under one banner. After reading the Google's Visual Asset Guidelines (Part 1, Part 2), we became motivated to look for our new style.

Our New Bones

There are many new ways of making quick and functioning sites. We decided to go with a design based from Twitter's Bootstap. This scaffolding allows for a rapid deployment for apps and sites.  We knew we wanted something clean and easy on the eye, we just needed a font that brought it

We also decided to go with a uniformed font , Open Sans, for the website, presentations, and documents.  We hope to use this font as much as possible, minus one exception, the logo. For our AutoGov logo we chose to go with Corbel.

Color Me New

One of the many things that needed to be updated was the color scheme that was being used for all of the assets that we would make available to our clients and the website. By following these guidelines we are able to easily pick the appropriate color for each instance.

The colors were all chosen from a concept called Flat design. By limiting colors to a few simple choices, then using shades of that color, it appears to give the simple object depth.  Microsoft is using a version of this in its Metro theme used in designing Windows 8.

The Logo

Picking a color scheme was an important part updating the logo. We have been using about three different shades of blue for our logo and and an unknown amount of fonts to write out our name in the logo. So we took the our logo and made it all one color (#2980b9) and changed the font to Corbel.

The visual comparison of our logos, is an easy way to see some of the changes that were made. By tightening up or look and sticking to a few simple principles, we were able to completely update all visual assets that belong to AutoGov.  Be sure to let us know what you think. Austin, Texas (PRWEB) January 14, 2013

AutoGov Director of Technology and Analytics, Taylor Phillips; announced today a major release of his company’s flagship healthcare risk management software, CaseVue 5.0. This important version introduces improvements and tools designed to ensure that information necessary for Medicaid eligibility and enrollment is available in real time on a caseworker’s desktop.

Business office managers and caseworkers are often saddled with making decisions without the benefit of data necessary to prevent mistakes or errors. In these times of rate pressure and uncertainty in the healthcare reimbursement structure, mistakes and errors often mean money – significant write-offs and even fines. Phillips says, “CaseVue combines advanced analytics with world class data to ensure fast, accurate eligibility and enrollment decisions.” CaseVue gathers case data and fuses information from third party data providers to feed an algorithm designed facilitate decisions. A remarkably fast turnaround…this process takes less than one second.

Thanks to AutoGov’s new financial partner, Ontario, Canada based Fusebill (fusebill.com); CaseVue can now be priced to suit our client’s needs – by the score, in packages or on a monthly basis! AutoGov’s specialists can create a custom pricing structure to support any healthcare business.

The software also features new self-service sign-up, administration, training and reporting designed by Phillips and an amazing development team at Rochester, NY based Netsmartz (netsmartz.net).

CaseVue is part of a comprehensive platform used by healthcare providers and government agencies to provide decision support solutions with a base in predictive analytics. CaseVue provides users with fast, accurate decision support tools that improve both the timeliness and quality of eligibility, enrollment and exchange related decisions.

AutoGov’s CaseVue software has provided scores to healthcare providers and government organizations since its launch in 2005. AutoGov’s algorithms are informed by data mining and statistical analysis of more than 30 million Medicaid, Food Stamp and TANF cases. The company’s firm belief is that solutions for its clients must be affordable, practical, and harness technology to support day-to-day operations without major disruption or unnecessary expense.

How fast does CaseVue return a score?

Taylor Phillips

Do you work at a Nursing Home or Hospital? Have you or your company ever struggled with an admission decision? Does gathering all the information needed to make the correct decision often drag on for day, weeks or even months?

Speed is the name of the game, and CaseVue is all about speed. Our philosophy is that every provider should have as much information, as fast as possible. Access to fast information leads to better decisions that lead to a reduction of "write offs."

We are proud that CaseVue serves our clients with in excess of 99.5% of Uptime and we average a server response rate of 318 ms (0.318 Seconds) across the US. We would love to talk to you! Feel free to contact us if you would like a demo.
